Two leading dermatologists highlight a society of cosmetic doctors with a focus on safety and ethics
Edmonton, AB -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/07/2016 -- Doctors For The Practice Of Safe & Ethical Aesthetic Medicine, aka DPSEAM, is a society formed by leading cosmetic doctors. It helps patients find doctors who focus on providing a high level of safety and ethical practices. It was formed as a response to the frustration felt by cosmetic doctors towards the seemingly endless stream of problems caused by unethical, unscrupulous and often ill-trained practitioners and facilities providing popular cosmetic procedures purely for profit without thought or care for the patients.
This week (06Jun16) on Inside Cosmetic Surgery Today, show host Edmonton Cosmetic Dermatologist Dr Barry Lycka talks with Board Certified Dermatologist Dr Charles Crutchfield, from his practice in Eagan, Minneapolis. Both doctors are passionate about providing a high quality, ethical and safety conscious practice, and educating potential patients and the general public about cosmetic surgery procedures and how to choose a cosmetic doctor.
For the first eight minutes of this in-depth interview, Dr Crutchfield and Dr Lycka talk about Doctors For The Practice Of Safe & Ethical Aesthetic Medicine. Dr Crutchfield highlights some of the unethical and unsafe ways in which some cosmetic surgery facilities & practitioners provide their 'services' to unsuspecting patients. Both doctors share personal stories and observations which have led them into forming this society as a way of helping patients to feel more confident in their search for aesthetic treatments.
The remaining 15 minutes of the interview focuses upon the latest cosmetic surgery treatments using Platelet Rich Plasma, including treating dark under eye circles, rejuvenating skin on necks and hands, treating melasma and also treating hair loss.
