Synthetic antioxidants are chemically synthesized petroleum-based antioxidants that are used to stabilize different types of lipidic systems. Synthetic antioxidants are effective in fish oils, vegetable oils, animal fats, and low-fat snack foods, in order to maintain quality of products.
