New Market Study Published: Luxury Goods in Canada
Retail value sales of luxury goods in Canada further improved in 2012, following a positive performance in 2011. As the country's economy began to stabilise, consumers appeared to be investing more in luxury goods, ranging from apparel to cosmetics and alcohol, although on the whole many Canadians continued to keep a tight grip on their purses and spending, especially in view of high levels of household debt in the country. Nonetheless, consumers, especially younger ones, spent on luxury goods.
