Nappies/Diapers/Pants in Romania - New Study Released
Changes to the legislation governing maternity pay have already had a visible impact on fertility rates in Romania. In 2011, the number of newborns declined by 8%, thus hitting an all-time low since 1930. This fall in the fertility rate combined with the prolonged effects of the crisis and the recent political turmoil of the eurozone raising the inflation rate, all resulted in a slight decline in the volume of certain mass baby care products including nappies/diapers.
