Researchers Discovered Periodontal and Gum Disease Can Cause Heart Disease and Stroke
People with dental health services are nearly double as likely to have heart disease and attacks as those with those with healthy oral gums and teeth, the American Academy of Periodontology reports. Research reveals some strong evidence that many of the oral risk factors are the same for both gum and heart disease. Although, a connecting link is uncertain, diabetes, and smoking can increase the risk of both diseases.
