Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring systems are portable devices that help measure and monitor the blood pressure in the human body. These devices obtain blood pressure readings for a set of time during a 24-hour period. The device records blood pressure readings every 20 minutes. It consists of an arm cuff attached to a lightweight monitor by an elastic rubber tube. The device is encased in a pouch attached to a waist belt or shoulder strap.
