How Cyclists Can Improve Both Recovery and Their Circulation
Everyone understands that massage is a great process for reducing pain and promoting swift recovery, but researchers in Chicago have identified another benefit, better circulation! The experiment involved putting 24 participants through a brutal workout targeting their quads. Half were given a quad massage after their punishment, and reported no soreness 90 minutes later. The other half were still suffering from DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness) and hobbling around the next day.
