Guildford, UK -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/29/2017 -- The NHS Enfield Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) have awarded Optegra Eye Health Care a 3 year Ophthalmology contract to treat patients with eye conditions in the local community. The award has been granted to 3 providers including Optegra Eye Health Care following a competitive bidding process, with the successful groups selected primarily on the basis of quality of service.
As part of the service, Optegra Eye Health Care will be addressing a wide range of conditions & treatments including AMD, blurred vision, cataracts, dry eyes, field defects, floaters, glaucoma and watery eyes. The service will be consultant led and anyone registered with an Enfield GP practice can avail of this service. It includes diagnostic assessments, first appointments, follow-up appointments and outpatient procedures. Access to the service is via GP referral.
There are multiple benefits to the service offered to Enfield residents. It will be a one stop shop covering all conditions, with short waiting times for both initial appointments and further treatments. The service is also easily accessible by car or public transport, with the clinic within easy reach of Palmers Green Overground, and with good bus connections.
