Woodstock, NY -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/27/2014 -- A husband and wife leader team Kathy and Michael White from the Findhorn community--will lead the family fortnight at KaliKalos Holistic Centre this season. This popular community-based holiday has been offered at the centre for the last five years. It is a family vacation with a difference, one where meeting new people is easy because the group processes and the sharing circles quickly create intimacy and connection.
Every August for 2 weeks the Kalikalos Kissos centre welcomes families of all shapes and sizes: single parents, married parents, step-parents, partners straight or gay, friends, single people and young people of all ages, and all family constellations.
Kathy & Michael are both experienced facilitators and group leaders, as well as parents of two children. Together they bring a wealth of expertise, running parenting courses and family weeks at the Findhorn Foundation in Scotland. They have a long history of community living and facilitating mixed groups.

Throughout the week the leaders will support the group with the help of their own children to create a vibrant inter-generational community experience. Like every year, 2014 will be full of energy creativity, play and fun. The most important aspect of this course and all the work at the centre is the people, for it is people, their creativity and openness that make Kalikalos the special experience that it is.
The participants will discover what it is like to living with love and joy in the daily family routines. As in all of the work at the centre there is an element of personal growth. Many guests leave the centre inspired to live the life of their dreams, so they really do take home more than a suntan.
Family Time at KaliKalos
The family weeks were created to bring to the centre an adult / child experience. A key element of the two weeks is the community aspect, where the whole family live, play, share and interact with the other families and the other guests and volunteer staff of the Kalikalos community.
The centre works with the idea that community is about a shared experience, being and doing together. What could be easier than supporting the daily routines of the centre where everyone gets to feels part of the greater good. By taking part in the running of the centre the guests will be helping one another and building the skills of community life. They get to join in with the gardening, cooking, cleaning and child-care so that all the necessary work still happens. In doing so they experience “work as love in action” in the Kalikalos way: with love, mindfulness and togetherness.
The Family Fortnight August 1st to 15th
Fun filled fortnight of sharing, creative activities, puppetry, treasure hunts cooperative games with a hilarious cabaret show production to top it all off.
