She further says that she saw a 16-month old child detained by border patrol become extremely sick and eventually developed pneumonia. The poor child stopped eating solid food because he got so weak that he couldn’t take solid food and went back to breastfeeding.

She said that she heard the worst story about a woman who was sick and in an isolation ward, along with her son, which is mostly solitary confinement. She was forced to ask the guards to use the bathroom, but the guards never answered her and she had to urinate and defecate in her own pants in the confinement room. Meanwhile, the guards would mock her and laugh at this poor woman.

The food is always undercooked, the chicken is raw, and the children won’t eat it,” Rosche said. “All of these children have lost weight. I saw multiple children who lost up to 25% of their body weight, even infants.”
