The Werewolves in the Renaissance series is historical fantasy built on the premise that the sorcery and witchcraft beliefs common in 16th century Europe are real. Falbe created her werewolf hero Thal as a man in control of his savage animal powers. His adventures in the turbulent world of the Holy Roman Empire in 1561 highlight a violent society against the backdrop of a mystical natural world.
