G2 Energy to Exhibit at Energy Now Expo as It Returns to Telford to Trump Biggest Event to Date

Renewable energy event back with a bang after most successful expo yet earlier this year

Faygate, UK -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/06/2014 -- With a move to Telford International Centre earlier this year, Energy Now Expo 2013 brought together farmers and landowners from across the UK in the most successful expo to date and local Independent Connection Provider, g2 Energy is looking to help build on this success for the 2014 event.

G2 Energy are High Voltage Electrical and Civil engineers, specialising in electrical grid connections and ICP Contestable Works for renewable energy projects. They will be exhibiting at Energy Now Expo, which showcases renewable energy opportunities available to agricultural and rural communities, on the 12th-13th February 2014.

G2 Energy offer a variety of services including; design and build of ‘Balance of Plant’ electrical infrastructure for renewable energy projects, Contestable Works up to 132kV, Containerised Substations, Operations & Maintenance contracts, as well as their own Renewable Developments department who can assist in site finding and planning, as well as opportunities for attractive finance options for landowners.

Attendants to the event, which will include a large conference and exhibition featuring over 160 renewable energy product and service suppliers, will be given the opportunity to participate in a multi streamed conference in which industry experts will present and discuss the very latest developments in renewable energy within the farming community.

Speakers confirmed for seminars this year include:

Dr Jonathan Scurlock, Chief Adviser, Renewable Energy and Climate Change, NFU

Nigel Penlington, Environment Programme Manager BPEX

David Collins, Head of the REA Biogas Group

Ray Noble, co-Chair of the Governments Solar Strategy Group

Iain Watt, Principal Sustainability Advisor, Forum For the future

Tim Breitmeyer, Chairman of CLA Environment Committee

Louisa Corsey, Small & Medium Wind Development Manager, RenewableUK

Tony Bowen, Chair, Heat Pump Association

David Jacobmeyer, organiser of Energy Now Expo said: “We are thrilled to have g2 Energy exhibiting for another year at our 2014 event. After the success of Energy Now Expo 2013 we are hoping that our fifth expo will be the best yet. We hope that the expo helps to demystify renewable energy options for farmers by bringing together suppliers and experts from the industry to advise the many options that are available to them.”

“The 2013 expo had over 2,500 visitors, speakers and exhibitors, and we are hoping that all the attractions at our 2014 event will encourage an even larger audience. With legislation and technology changing all the time, we would encourage people to revisit the expo year after year as there is always something new to learn.”

Admission to the exhibition is free for all those who pre-register. Free conference entry is also available for Energy Now magazine subscribers, as well as to members of the NFU, CLA, Anglia Farmers, and Woldmarsh Producers – providing they pre-register. About g2 Energy
g2 Energy are High Voltage electrical and civil engineers who specialise in the design and construction of ‘Balance of Plant’ infrastructure and grid connections for embedded generation schemes, including Solar, Anaerobic Digestion and Wind Farms.

We are a Lloyds registered, NERS Accredited, Independent Connection Provider (ICP) who can provide Contestable Works at voltages up to and including 132kV.

If you are considering an ‘Embedded Generation’ scheme, we can help you. We have the facility to design and build your complete project, from site finding and initial feasibility, through to planning, installation, project management and connection onto the grid.

Our in-house design department can provide electrical design for all aspects of High and Low Voltage electrical networks and civil design for substation buildings, transformer enclosures and wind turbine foundations. We can work to the requirements of every embedded generation manufacturer and to the specification of the relevant Distribution Network Operator (DNO). To assist us through the various design stages, we utilise the latest CAD, CDEG, Windfarm and ERACS computer software.

We can provide a complete turnkey project management solution, supporting clients with their grid connections, DNO applications, connection challenges and contestable works.

To date, g2 Energy have worked on a number of single site 500kW Wind Turbine Generators and Solar Farms throughout the UK. We have supplied, installed and commissioned all the necessary interface equipment to meet the required standard, as well as liaising with the DNO’s to ensure acceptance and successful connection onto the grid for each of these projects.

To date, g2 Energy have connected in excess of 165 Megawatts of renewable energy to the grid, with a further 383 Megawatts due to be connected in 2014.

Our Renewable Developments department are actively seeking suitable Wind Turbine and Solar park sites across the UK for renewable energy development.

Utilising the High Voltage (HV) Electrical & Civil engineering experience of g2 Energy, we can identify, acquire, design and build a complete project, from initial feasibility, through planning, installation and connection onto the national grid; therefore offering clients and investors a full turnkey solution, reducing risk and ensuring efficient return on investment.

About Energy Now Expo
Energy Now Expo is a two-day conference and exhibition designed to bring together farmers and landowners from all over the UK to help them explore and further understand the opportunities available in renewable energy, plus the best practices in energy management and efficiency.

The conference will be multi-stream and include keynote presentations, as well as panel debates on wind, solar, hydro, biomass, biogas, energy crops, heat pumps, energy efficiency and finance and planning. The exhibition will provide a showcase of more than 160 suppliers demonstrating the latest technologies and services available to support this exciting and growing sector.

Farming is one of the most energy intensive industries in operation today. As these energy costs continue to rise, increasing numbers of farmers are looking for alternative energy sources in order to reduce their bills, as well as their carbon emissions.

The Energy Now Expo aims to:

Explain how each of the renewable energy sources work

Show how alternative energy solutions can save money on fuel costs

Outline how farmers and landowners can earn extra income by supplying power to the national grid

Promote best practices in energy management

Highlight the ways to maximise the operational efficiency and therefore returns of renewable energy schemes

Debate about these issues with other farmers and landowners

Provide access to presentations from the leading product and service suppliers in the Exhibitor Presentation Zone

Give visitors the chance to discuss projects, problems or ideas with experts, on a one-on-one basis in the Renewables Advice Clinic

Display the latest electric, hybrid and gas powered vehicles in the Low-Emission Vehicle Zone
