HD Carolina aims to be a new way of sightseeing from the comfort of your home while sharing facts about destinations in the Carolina's that may intrigue the viewer to get out there and visit some of these amazing places. The company uses a relatively new mode of entertainment, connected television, which offers the ability to webstream programs and which is a platform that has gained popularity in recent years. Not only is HD Carolina using cutting edge filming techniques that highlight an entrepreneurial first person shooting style, but they are also utilizing modern distribution platforms including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram as well as Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and their website www.HDCarolina.com.

Why the Carolinas you ask? After growing up in a city in southern California and spending summers at her family camp in NC, Watts was drawn to the charm of a "small town friendly" rural area. She spent her twenties traveling the world for her job along with her husband and small children; they were instantly bitten by the travel bug, and while they enjoyed international travel Watts always yearned to return to the small town she fell in love with as a child. It therefore comes as no surprise that when the Watts family finally decided to move back to the United States, they could not think of a better place to expand their family than the open rolling hills of North Carolina. Of course, the adventures did not stop just because they settled down. Weekend trips to beautiful places and smiling faces of the Carolinas led to exploring all the places these beautiful states have to offer. Realizing that there were few options available for learning about all of the great places to visit in the region, she decided to bring the beauty of the Carolinas to an international audience. With the help of her husband, Watts hit the trails, started capturing footage and posted the first episode in March of 2016. When asked what she wanted to accomplish with this new venture, Watts said "With the launch of HD Carolina, I hope to make the world a smaller place, by focusing on fun and interesting things to see and do in the Carolinas, I think others will be drawn to the beauty of the region and all of the exciting things to do here, make this region a place they want to experience for themselves." She hopes to continue to grow the following of HD Carolina by adding new content and sharing more features, there's always something on the horizon at HD Carolina that they want to share with the world.
