Atlanta, GA -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/19/2015 -- This past September, ImageFIRST Atlanta proudly volunteered at the Veterans Empowerment Organization for their first Annual Community Giving Day. The Veterans Empowerment Organization is a non-profit headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. Fifty-three ImageFIRST Atlanta associates volunteered, and they were even recognized by the Veterans Empowerment Organization on their official Facebook page as going "above and beyond their call of duty." Three of the things that they did that day included performing a complete campus cleanup which also consisted of cleaning out gutters, serving a delicious restaurant-style lunch to veterans, and hosting a raffle that offered some prizes.
The ImageFIRST Atlanta associates that volunteered their time at the Veterans Empowerment Organization were extremely happy to do so, and they look forward to volunteering again in the future. In fact, ImageFIRST Atlanta will even have a booth at the organization's "Hire A Vet Event" that will be held on Tuesday, October 27.
The Atlanta location was one of several of ImageFIRST's corporate locations who participated in the company's first Annual Community Giving Day. Some of the other charities and non-profits that other locations volunteered at included Habitat for Humanity and the American Cancer Society.
