Detroit, MI -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/20/2015 -- At the Euro-Peds Foundation in North Oakland, Detroit, children requiring intensive physical therapy are able to receive progressive physical therapy (PT) that was formerly only available in Eastern and Western European countries. Founded at the urging of parents whose daughter showed remarkable improvements after participating in such a program in Poland, the Euro-Peds Foundation now brings the same medical knowledge closer to home, and also provides home-care education to caretakers of children with non-progressive neuromuscular disorders. The ImageFIRST Detroit team met first, early in the morning, in order to fortify themselves with a hearty breakfast and plan out the best ways to make the outing a special, fun occasion for every patient. The team then spent the day working in collaboration with Euro-Peds volunteers to set up games and stands, as well as do face-painting. Both ImageFIRST Detroit and the Euro-Peds Foundation are happy to announce that the day was a huge success, and provided an excellent means for patients and families working with the foundation to have an opportunity to meet, play games and have fun.
ImageFIRST Detroit will also be sponsoring a table at the Euro-Peds Foundation's 1st gala fundraiser, to be held on November 20th at the Detroit Athletic Club. Proceeds from this gala will aid children with neuromuscular disorders, such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida and traumatic brain injuries, to improve their mobility with the help of the Euro-Peds National Center for Intensive Pediatric PT.
