In fact, on February 20, 2016, eight of the company's associates spent time cooking and serving dinner at their local Ronald McDonald House (RMDH).
For over four decades, the Ronald McDonald House has offered close-by housing for the families of hospitalized children. The nonprofit organization also provides funds to families who wish to stay together when a child is hospitalized in a different city, and helps families secure medical or dental care for children who live in low-income communities. Today, the organization offers aid to families in many countries all over the globe, and ImageFIRST has sponsored them for nearly three years. Additionally, many ImageFIRST locations across the United States not only volunteer their time at a local RMDH, but they also donate their laundry services.
The menu that the team prepared that day consisted of Chicken Alfredo, Italian bread with garlic and butter, as well as broccoli and carrots with cheese. What's more, not only did they help serve dinner, but they also served blueberry and cherry cakes for dessert. In regards to the experience the associates had at the RMDH that day, the office manager had this to say, "This event was the most moving I have experienced at ImageFIRST. When we had downtime for the meal, we were given a tour of the house and listened to many stories about what the RMDH does for our community. We also learned about the history of the home, and the fact that it was once four houses that the RMDH purchased and remodeled to serve 35 families at once." In all, the associates who spent their time serving dinner and touring the RMDH had a memorable experience, and look forward to returning in the future.
