Imperial Brass will be showcasing their 20-piece large brass ensemble (including percussion) for a free, patriotic night of American music on Sunday, June 28th at 7:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church Dallas.
Dallas, TX -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/17/2015 -- FUMC Music and Arts will host Imperial Brass and their entire accompaniment of world-renowned musicians, some of whom regularly play with the Dallas Symphony, for an evening of song, celebration and tribute. Imperial Brass will play under the direction of Dana Effler, alongside the FUMC Chancel Choir.
"Excellent music has been an integral part of First United Methodist Church downtown for almost 100 years." said Susan Frazier, Principal French Horn. "And we are truly honored to have the opportunity to perform this concert on their inaugural season of First Fine Arts. The evening will begin with an All-American, family-style hamburger picnic - tickets for this can be purchased separately by those wishing to enjoy a hearty meal. The free concert will follow with musical selections including: America The Beautiful, A Salute to the Armed Forces, The Star Spangled Banner, a highlight of Irving Berlin American favorites and more.
