Newport, Wales -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/16/2015 -- Buffy's in the Wigwam, a team of Information security professionals from the I.T industry, will be participating in this week's White Hat Rally, to raise money for the children's charity Barnardo's.
The White Hat Rally 17th-20th September 2015 will be operating in Wales, UK, the events participants include other Information Security professionals from a range of industries and has been operating since 2009, so far raising over £200,000 for registered charities to support their work with vulnerable children and teenagers.
Team 9 –Buffy's in the Wigwam team members include:
- Trevor Lenoir, Sales Director of distinguished IT Asset Disposal & Reuse Company ICEX Ltd, a highly accredited organization, including a distinction from their recent ADISA audit.
- Daniel Dyer, VP Global Operations of Tabernus, a CESG CPA Certified Data Erasure software company.
- Grant Morgan, Managing Director of Glasgow Computers, an accredited Computer Recycling organization based in Scotland.
- Nicola Mair, from Global Talent Acquisition at HP in Erskine, one of the largest global OEM's of Enterprise and security products.
With the challenges for the team being many, some have been of a rather creative nature including "children's books, in the form of a song", whereby participants have composed songs based on their favorite children's books. The teams efforts include, Row, Row your boat, The very hungry Caterpillar, Superworm and The Tiger who came to tea!.
