Boynton Beach, FL -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/16/2016 -- The prestigious Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval® for Behavioral Health Care Accreditation was awarded to Insight to Recovery following a rigorous on-site survey in January 2016.
Insight to Recovery is a 40 bed PHP (partial hospitalization), IOP (intensive outpatient), and OP (outpatient) program treating both males and females aged between 18-60 years. The program was founded in 2001 by Harvey Brown, who himself just celebrated 38 years of recovery.
The survey process determined that Insight to Recovery demonstrated excellence in all the Joint Commission behavioral health care standards. Their examination focus included measureable objectives for client care, treatment and services quality including screen procedures for early detection of imminent harm; environment of care standards with regards to client safety and security; leadership and staff development for ongoing evolution and industry success; On-site evaluations and interviews were also conducted during this time.
"Joint Commission accreditation provides Behavioral Health care organizations with the processes needed to improve in a variety of areas related to the care of individuals and their families" says Tracy Griffin Collandar, LCSW, executive director, Behavioral Health Care Accreditation program, the Joint Commission. We commend Insight to Recovery for its effort to elevate the standard of care it provides and instill confidence in the community it serves".
"Insight to Recovery is pleased to receive Behavioral Health Care Accreditation from the Joint Commission, the premier health care quality improvement and accrediting body in the nation, added Harvey Brown, CEO & Founder of Insight to Recovery. "Staff from across the organization continue to work together to develop and implement approaches and strategies that have the potential to improve care for those in our community".
This important accreditation from the Joint Commission highlights the level of excellence Insight to Recovery has always provided to their clients. Their staff represent over 150 years' experience collectively specializing in the treatment of addiction and almost 90% of them are in recovery themselves. Insight to Recovery offers a real life approach to treating those who suffer with Alcoholism, Drug Addiction, and Mental Illness and believe in offering care for as long as it is needed.
Clients stay from 30-120 days with the option of continued outpatient up to 6 months, along with clinically managed sober living. Insight to Recovery's program philosophy has successfully shown that recovering alcoholics and addicts who experience sober support and real-life recovery DURING treatment more adequately and permanently maintain a clean and sober life going forward. From the time of admission, clients are expected to develop a strong sober network and with the support of the program participate in various social recovery focused events. This model allows for an easier transition to a life of sobriety following graduation from the program, and gives clients the strong foundation needed for continued success in recovery.
Julie Brown, Co-Founder and Director of Business Development at Insight to Recovery, when asked about what it means to be Joint Commission Accredited, said "As an organization, we have enhanced our programs to offer excellence in our field. I am blessed with a magnificent team that shares the same values and supports our mission to promote change and healing in our client's lives.
