Inverbeg Galleries has helped John M Boyd fulfill a long held dream to own an art gallery, with the famous Loch Lomond galleries now serving as his new home.
Alexandria, Scotland -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/25/2015 -- Fine art is inspired by extraordinary surroundings, and there are perhaps no surroundings more extraordinary than the breathtaking Loch Lomond in the highlands of Scotland. It is no surprise then that the shores of the loch are home to one of the best fine art galleries in Scotland. Inverbeg Galleries, selling Scottish art prints from still life and landscape to aviation, has established a superb reputation in the art world, and is now being run by the famous Scottish artist John M Boyd, who hopes to continue to develop this one of a kind location.
John M Boyd was born in 1942 in Port Glasgow. The son of a pharmacist and a self taught artist, he first produced three limited edition prints of his work which became best sellers, launching his career. Nowadays his work can be seen in galleries throughout Scotland, and will feature in the Inverbeg Galleries.
His subjects are varied, from nostalgic cityscapes of tramcars at night to wildlife and portraits, resulting in a wide variety of commissions. His work will be handsomely accompanied by a huge variety of work from other successful Scottish artists, in showrooms and galleries that are double the original size.
A spokesperson for Inverbeg Galleries explained, "We hope to become the home of Scottish art, and what better way to take a giant leap in that direction than to have one of the most respected names in Scottish art join the team to steer the direction of the gallery for the future. John M Boyd is someone whose work we were proud to display, and so I'm sure you can imagine how we felt when he became one of the owners of the gallery. It is an exciting time for us, and we can't wait to share amazing new pieces with customers who come from around the world."
