Waxhaw, NC -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/21/2014 -- Just a few months away, the Isabella Santos Foundation is gearing up for its 7th annual 5k run for charity. Raising money for Neuroblastoma research and other pediatric cancers, the non-profit foundation is in the process of planning a silent auction and raffle to be held at the race. The goal is to provide popular, fun items that individuals can donate for the auction, and this July, they are looking specifically for LEGOs.
Having some sets donated for a boy’s silent auction package is a goal that the foundation wishes to accomplish. The run is being held on September 20, which leaves two months to prepare and purchase all the items that will be placed into the auction. If individuals do not have the time to shop for items in the auction, representatives from the Isabella Santos Foundation will gladly accept gift cards and do the shopping themselves. Gift cards can be used to purchase items for a variety of different packages, and any help is very much appreciated.
Planning to make the event bigger and better than ever before, the run will feature a number of activities to participate in for people of all ages. Become a sponsor, volunteer, or purchase raffle tickets to win vacation packages, sports tickets, and more while enjoying the food and DJ. Prizes will be awarded to the overall race winner, as well as the top female and male the top three finishers in each age group, the top female and male in the kids run, as well as the top 10 FirstGiving fundraisers. Sign up as a phantom runner for $30 if unable to make the race, donating to receive an official Isabella Santos Foundation 2014 5K for Kids Cancer t-shirt.
To continue to spread the cheer of young Isabella, who lost her life two years ago at the age of 7 after five long years of fighting Neuroblastoma, the foundation was set up to support local organizations and fight against children cancers. Feel free to email info@isabellasantosfoundation.com to inquire about the donating process and help raise awareness for this non profit in Charlotte, NC. Donations will be tax deductible, and all items donated will be auctioned off to raise money for charity. To learn more, visit their website today.
