Lisa Stapleton is the creator of MyLocks, hair charms that grip all types of hair securely and without harm. Funding of £23,500 is required to meet the initial manufacturing set up costs for this project.
Milton Keynes, UK -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/01/2016 -- Today's generation of style conscious women is particular about having the right accessories, jewellery, colour and expression. Over the years, the world of fashion has seen the emergence of accessories such as hair wrapping, beads, threading, extensions, clips, combs, spirals, glitter, feathers, scarves, gemstones, bands, and many others. However, these accessories can cause hair damage and lack innovation. Lisa is looking to the future and claims MyLocks offer users a way to change their style and dress their hair exactly how they would like in an instant.
Personal storytelling jewellery and charms are extremely popular because they provide an outlet for creativity and individuality. Hair charms can be considered to be a natural extension to this collectible jewellery. MyLocks will help users personalise their look quickly, effectively and endlessly in a fun way.
MyLocks offers a combination of an innovative, patented design with silicone moulding and super strong Neodymium magnets; ensuring a secure and kind grip on all types of hair. MyLocks will be available in different shapes and bright colours. Some of the most noteworthy features of these hair charms are:
- Simple and easy to attach/detach.
- Secure grip without any hair damage.
- Suitable for all hair types and lengths.
- Suitable for every culture, lifestyle and generation.
- Made from coloured food-grade silicone and life-long lasting rare-earth Neodymium magnets.
- Waterproof, reusable, and collectible.
Lisa is looking to design five charm designs in eight colours with this project. Prototypes have evolved from paper to aluminium and silver using methods such as turning and lost wax casting. Several suppliers have been sourced and Lisa has been working with a UK-based manufacturer. Unfortunately, the initial manufacturing set up costs for this project are too high for Lisa and she has recently started a Kickstarter campaign to raise £23,500 for this project.
Thanking the backers for their support, Lisa states, "Every contribution you make, however small, will be one step closer to making hair charms a reality for everyone to share and enjoy. Sharing is good! I can't begin to thank you, the mighty backers, for pledging and sharing my enthusiasm for this project – and whether the target is reached or not, thank you."
