The Loretto foundation with it's founder Lamar Hunt Jr. continue support of Kansas City based Ozanam organization. The organization seeks to help at risk youth with ongoing residential services and more.
Kansas City, MO -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/23/2015 -- Ozanam, an organization that has been helping at-risk youth and young adults for more than 50 years, receives help from Lamar Hunt Jr. and the Loretto Foundation. The help received from the foundation assists the organization in keeping their residential treatment and other services active.
The services offered by Ozanam currently include campus-based services, educational services, and community-based services. These services cover residential treatment with therapy for children 12 to 18, short-term family residential programs with aftercare, and educational day therapy programs for students of the on-campus Ozanam School.
In addition to the on-campus and education services provided by Ozanam year round, the organization also trains teachers and administrators through the Behavior Intervention Support Team. Mentoring services are available for bringing appropriate adult role models into the lives of at-risk foster care children.
Currently the organization helps 200 children daily through one or more services. Recent fundraising events include the Ozanam Disc Golf Tournament September 26, and the upcoming 32nd Annual Ozanam Hollywood Holiday Gala December 3. All Ozanam fundraisers require registration before the event with the exception of the annual plant sale which is free to the public each April.
