New York, NY -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/21/2016 -- September 8th New York Fashion Week, and Sept 18th at London Fashion week, Renowned designer Malan Breton showcased his Spring/Summer 2017 men's and women's ready-to-wear collections. This season, the designer re-visits his Taiwanese roots through a culturally dynamic form of expression revealing inspiration from the indigenous Tribes of Taitung, on the eastern coastline of Taiwan. The collections represent a portrait of the soul of its people. Hand-beaded embellishments, extravagant color pallets, and authentic print patterns bring forth an ornamental opulence that exudes innovation and deliverance. Malan Breton incorporates these principals while maintaining highly wearable pieces that contain influence from sportswear to demi couture elements. Delivering a dynamic performance and overall vision for Spring/Summer 2017. The collection featured a shoe collaboration with Michela Rigucci for womenswear, and indigenous inspired hairstyles created by Joico, and Vivienne Mackinder. Malan Breton's partnership with the Taiwan Tourism Bureau has led to many successful events in New York, London, and Los Angeles. In an effort to promote tourism to this beautiful island country, the place of his birth. The show will feature the Tourism Bureau uniform selections designed by Malan Breton, a new collection of Malan Breton luxury leather handbags and luggage, and luscious swimwear pieces.
Buyers and retail representative guests of the show will have the opportunity to purchase any pieces directly off the runway by downloading the Markable app prior to the show! Video and production elements created by Cinemalan Productions, and music provided by the Amis tribe, and Warner Music Taiwan at the Style Fashion Week, and Fashion Scout venues.
Malan Breton opened fashion Week with over 50 million global impressions this season, and will set the bar high for the remainder of for Fashion Weeks around the globe. This season, Malan goes back to his Broadway roots by inviting Hollywood notables and social influencers to walk in his show including; Mason Grammer, Frankie Grande, Tituss Burgess, Bryan Batt, Consuelo Vanderbilt, and Nene Leakes who closed the show. The collections have been met with great critical acclaim, each being of different fibres, and elements each inspired by the indigenous people of Taiwan.
