The machine is capable of butt fusing the majority of fittings without requiring special holders or the need to remove the outer jaw.

With McElroy's one-of-a-kind semi-automatic control system, only a single operator is required to properly use the MegaMc® 1648 and its many features. These features include a 4-Jaw carriage, a pair of hydraulic pipe lifts to assist with loading or unloading pipe, DataLogger compatibility, and much more.

With its hydraulic power, the MegaMc® 1648 streamlines all fusion functions, including the full operation of the pipe lifts, the jaws as well as the heater and facer.
