Lauderhill, FL -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/01/2016 -- Saturday, August 6th was not only blazing hot, it was also Dr. Fidel S. Goldson Sr. Annual Summer Splash Back to School Event, and Independence Day for the island of Jamaica. At the Central Broward Regional Park, together with our community partners, Thomas & Pearl, A. Aggressive Law/Attorney Feinman, Bethlehem Pre School, Blended Family Foods, Broward Alliance of Caribbean Educators, Broward County Library, Commissioner Dale Holness, Comprehensive Spine Center, COX Media Group, Donna's Caribbean Restaurant, Dr. Wayne Fraser, Elite Imaging, EMU College Club, Financial Partner Group, Girl Power Radio, Grant Health Drink, Hutchinson Smith Law Group, Humana, Jamaican Women of Florida, KC Old Boys-HM Health service, Kingsley Chin- The Less Institute, LDA wealth management, Legal Shield, Oasis Dental, ReadingPay$More, Reese Vision Care, Reggae Fit, Rubenstein law, WAVS Radio, Wild Bulls Dance Group, and Windsor Imaging we distributed over 800 book bags and school supplies.
Our Education Village created by Broward Alliance for Caribbean Educators, ReadingPay$More, and EMU College club was a hit and was an intricate part of the spelling bee awards that were issued this year. They also provided valuable college bound information which included how to navigate through the coming school year.
The children enjoyed ice cream, popcorn, cotton candy, a huge obstacle course, and other great kid's activities. The refreshments, food, and festivities were enjoyed by those both young and old.
International Reggae artist Hal Anthony was on board to celebrate with his classical lyrical Caribbean tunes, and the Son's of Maestro electrified the audience with their reggae renditions on the violin. The little girls from The Wild Bulls Dance Group delighted us all with their contemporary choreography and warm smiles.
In all, the Dr. Fidel S. Goldson, Sr. Summer Splash Back to School event proved to be another wonderful community celebration and the entire Goldson Spine family was thrilled to have played a role in helping students begin this school year with confidence and the tools they need to be successful.
