Long Island customers have their chance to get their face on the 2012 VW Beetle billboard in Time Square.

Amityville, NY -- (SBWire) -- 10/13/2011 --Consumers now have the chance to have their moment of fame in Times Square with their photo on display on the 2012 VW Beetle billboard in New York City. The newly redesigned 2012 Beetle has a major billboard in Times Square and is featuring everyday VW enthusiasts on the billboard.

Volkswagen is looking for people who like the updated 2012 Beetle to show it to the automaker. What better way to show affection for the 2012 Beetle than “liking” it on Facebook?

For drivers to get their photo on the billboard, they need to visit Volkswagen USA’s Facebook page and “like” the new, Beetle-themed Facebook page. After they have “liked” the page, there is an option to upload a photo. Once a photo is uploaded and approved, customers will get their photo in line to be displayed on the billboard.

VW will email participants ahead of time to notify them when their photo will be shown on the billboard. Customers can then view the billboard live online via the VW Times Square webcam.

Volkswagen will also post their billboard picture on their Facebook wall for proof and a souvenir.
