Assistant General Manager of Eastern Yacht Club (Marblehead, MA) Re-Elected NECMA Treasurer

Mahra, CCM, CHAE, Assistant General Manager of Eastern Yacht Club in Marblehead, MA was re-elected Treasurer of the New England Club Managers Association (NECMA), the original chapter of the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) at its annual meeting held at Willowbend Country Club in Mashpee, MA.
Ali Mahra has served as Assistant General Manager of Eatern Yacht Club in Marblehead, MA since 2010 and prior served as the Assistant General Manager of The University Club of Boston for five years and was Executive Controller at the Quechee Cub in Vermont, and Assistant General Manager at the Mountain Club on Loon in Lincoln NH. He has over 22 year of executive experience with Marriott and Hilton Hotels.
Mr. Mahra joined CMAA in 2004 and a member of the CMAA International Wine Society as well as a Certified Hospitality Accountant Executive (CHAE) and a Certified Business Manager (CBM), and an Adjunct Professor of Hospitality, Newbury College Brookline, MA. Mr. Mahra served as NECMA Director and was elected to Treasurer in 2009 and re-elected in 2010. Mr. Mahra serves on the Board of Directors of Hospitality Financials and Technology Professionals (HFTP), New England, Boston Chapter.
As Treasurer, Mr. Mahra will continue with NECMA members to develop and promote high standards of professionalism in private club management, and further uphold the NECMA mission statement: to provide education to persons connected with the management of clubs and other associations of similar character, to promote and encourage efficient and successful club management, and to advance friendly relations among its members.
