E-Tech Takes on QuickBooks Conversions with Ease
Transition from QuickBooks Canada to QuickBooks UK like a breeze
Brandon, MB -- (SBWire) -- 02/22/2019 --Switching to a different version of QuickBooks is sometimes inevitable, especially when companies do business in multiple countries, and have divisions in more than one country.
Another likelihood is a bookkeeper using a certain version of QuickBooks for the main file.
"The only issue that businesses operating in different countries face is QuickBooks Conversions, specifically converting QuickBooks Canada to US Edition, or the US Edition to Canada or UK, mainly because the company has more than likely have files set up in a version of QuickBooks that is incompatible with the software in another division," John Rocha, Technical Services Manager said.
"Because specialized software like QuickBooks is available in different editions for different regions such as Canada, there are features that are specific to that region, for example, currency and taxes, that are unique to that version of the software," Rocha added.
An example of this Rocha cited was the fact that the Canadian and UK versions of QuickBooks are configured to use VAT, however, this feature is configured as sales tax for the US version. "These unique features make it impossible for the US version of QuickBooks to read a file from the Canadian version, and this can cause frustration and undue delays in the accounting process."
E-Tech, a leading QuickBooks data repair and conversion service, simplifies the ordeal by offering a solution that modifies the nationality of QuickBooks to bring both versions into sync.
According to Rocha, the process is quick and easy which usually constitutes an initial evaluation in order to assess both versions of QuickBooks, creating an account to upload a QuickBooks file, and lastly, upon completion of the required, an upload link to submit the file is sent.
What gets transferred and what does not
QuickBooks does not allow payroll transactions to be transferred from one file to another, hence payroll checks will be transferred as regular checks with full line item details
Usernames are not transferred from the secondary files to the primary file. Users will need to be recreated after the merge.
Budget data cannot be transferred.
