It is an extraordinary natural monument made up of clay figures having 202 sources of highly acidic water, "Crveno vrelo” (Red hot) and ?avolja voda (“Devil's water”). Locals tell lots of stories and legends about this strange natural phenomenon. According to one of such legends, the town was created by the devil for the purpose of destroying churches and religion. According to another legend, devils wanted to marry a brother and a sister, so to prevent the sin, some higher force converted them into a stone forever.
Above all that, this region offers a lot of charming cities to visit, such as Vranje, which is located in Southern Serbia, 70 km from Leskovac, and is based on traditional handicrafts.
Nis is another popular tourist destination since several cultural and athletic events take place here.
