Time Warner Cable Technology Day Gives a Peak Into the Future

Albany, NY -- (SBWire) -- 06/15/2010 -- On Wednesday, June 9th the State Capitol became home to Time Warner Cable Technology Day as public officials, government employees and the general public were given a sneak peak at the latest advancements in entertainment and information technology that will soon be available to Time Warner Cable customers.

Over 40 legislators, including the Senate Majority Conference Leader John Sampson, Senate President Malcolm Smith, Assembly Majority Leader Ron Canestrari and Senate & Assembly Chairs of the Energy/Telecommunications committees, were given a hands-on demonstration of Time Warner Cable's new and upcoming products. Dr. Melodie Mayberry-Stewart, Chief Information Officer of the NYS Office for Technology, was also in attendance along with over 150 legislative staffers, senior Public Service Commission staff and members of the public.

State-of-the-art offerings included 3D TV, Multi-room and Remote Digital Video Recorder (DVR) Service, Look Back of up to 72 hours for certain programming, Start Over, blazing fast Wideband High-Speed Internet Service and Enhanced Cordless Phones that feature SMS texting as well as weather and news updates gave attendees an afternoon full of cutting-edge greatness.
