Indianapolis and Indiana Lead Nation in Job Growth, IndianapolisCrossing Adds More and More Jobs Continually

Pasadena, CA -- (SBWire) -- 06/26/2010 -- Indiana witnesses a fighting job market and has added more jobs than any other state in the US. Additionally, stimulus funds worth $1.2 billion are being delivered by the US government to the state to create more and more jobs. IndianapolisCrossing, the job board aggregator of all jobs in Indianapolis, is still consistently adding up jobs too, adding 2400+ jobs this week, according to the company executives.

IndianapolisCrossing, the newly launched job board for the people of Indianapolis, aspires to list a comprehensive collection of researched job openings available in the city. The job site even features jobs from Fortune 500 and Inc. 500 companies, and nearly from every job source of each and every domain and industry. IndianapolisCrossing aspires to transform the careers and lives of thousands of professionals every week and every day.

AIT Laboratories has announced plans to create new corporate headquarters in Indianapolis, which will help Indiana to boost its life sciences economic sector. Gov. Mitch Daniels and Mayor Greg Ballard were present when the company announced that it plans to add 160 jobs in Indianapolis by 2014.

Hat World Inc., which makes apparel in about 900 retail stores mostly under the LIDS brand, has also planned to expand its headquarters and distribution center in Indianapolis. This would mean, adding up to 570 jobs in Indianapolis by 2015, company officials said recently.

“The job losses that we've seen in the city are coming in the logistics industry, and a lot of jobs have been lost in financial segments too. There was an addition of 6,300 jobs in May but the unemployment rate remained unchanged at 10% since April. Apart from that, in this market, it is extremely hard to get a job with a recruiter, and recruiters typically work with very few companies,” says A. Harrison Barnes, founder and CEO of IndianapolisCrossing. “Job openings that are not widely known or publicized are the easiest jobs to get.”

On the other hand, presently, IndianapolisCrossing has more than 8,500 jobs in its million-dollar database scoured from every nook and cranny of the state. IndianapolisCrossing was launched to assist working professionals as well as non-working professionals with sorting out the opportunities that they may not find out about otherwise. Unlike other job boards, the site focuses solely on jobs based in Indianapolis only, and it doesn’t charge employers to post jobs.

“IndianapolisCrossing is a research company that works for job seekers,” Barnes says. “We seek to connect you to employers.” Barnes also emphasizes that IndianapolisCrossing is committed to finding new sources of jobs daily.

“There is an astonishing number of job openings out there. We want to find them all,” he says.

IndianapolisCrossing charges $29.95 a month to view its job-opening research. As part of the site’s new campaign, IndianapolisCrossing is offering a free, seven-day trial to allow job seekers to familiarize themselves with the service.
