Battle Creek, MI -- (SBWire) -- 06/17/2014 --On June 21 Tracy Falbe, a fantasy author from Battle Creek, Michigan will join the vendors at the anime convention JAFAX XIX. Held on the campus of Grand Valley State University, the convention attracts thousands of attendees enthusiastic about Japanese culture and fantasy and sci fi entertainment.
“This will be the second anime convention I’ve attended,” Falbe said. “My fantasy books were well received at the last con I went to and I sold a bunch of books.”
She is the author of two epic fantasy series The Rys Chronicles and Rys Rising as well as her newest release the historical fantasy Werelord Thal: A Renaissance Werewolf Tale.
Falbe will offer special pricing on her books at the convention. She also signs each copy sold.
Her primary special is on the 4-book set The Rys Chronicles that sells at conventions for only $15. This is a complete series comprised of the titles Union of Renegades, The Goddess Queen, Judgment Rising, and The Borderlands of Power.
Titles from her newer Rys Rising series will be $12 each, and Werelord Thal paperbacks will sell for $10 each.
Fans of Falbe’s books describe them as difficult to put down. A recent email from a reader on her fan feedback page wrote, “Both series were awesome. You have just passed George R.R. Martin and Anne McCaffrey as my favorite writer.”
A 5-star review at the Amazon Kindle store called her novel Rys Rising a “Must read” and “truly a work of art.”
Falbe’s style is to craft epic series that use many characters to tell a story from both sides of a conflict. She deals with themes of empire, slavery, religion, and war in her books that are full of magic and adventure.
Fantasy fans can learn all about her nine novels at her web store Brave Luck Books. She has been producing her fiction in print and digital formats since 2006. And all of her titles are available at major online retailers like Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Apple iBooks.
At her table in the vendor room at the convention she will have the following titles available:
Werelord Thal
Rys Rising
Savage Storm
New Religion
Love Lost

The JAFAX location on the Grand Valley State campus is in Allendale Charter Township near Grand Rapids. This convention is in its 19th year and the longest-running convention of its type in the state. Free to the public, the convention attracts thousands of attendees, including many cosplayers.
The theme at the convention this year is an examination of how Japanese video games have influenced American culture.
“I’m looking forward to connecting with lots of fantasy fans at the convention. The book nerds’ eyes always light up when they see my table. So please stop by and we’ll talk about writing and what my stories are about,” Falbe said.
