Australian Company Says Awards Give Pet Industry Life Larger Than a Full Bird Aviary
Several organisations are now recognizing the efforts of individuals and business entities engaged in the pet industry through awards.
Carlton, Australia -- (SBWire) -- 07/25/2014 --For pets like birds, the ultimate luxury hotel experience is to live in a very large aviary. This will let it spread its wings to the maximum with the extra comfort to play as desired. How is this related to this news? According to pet enclosure company Coops and Cages, this scenario can be likened to what is happening in the pet industry right now. Its CEO noted that with the presence of different awards now being organized by several organisations, the pet industry is more radiant than ever.
One of the events expected to give away several title recognitions is the Pet Industry Awards 2014 which is being prepared by the Pet Industry Federation, an organisation that represents different sectors in the pet industry that include groomers, pet retailers, manufacturers and the like. This event is open to businesses. In here, participants will have the opportunity to win from any of the six award categories, two of which are the Retailer of the Year award and the Grooming Business of the Year award. The awarding ceremony will be held at Whittlebury Hall Hotel near Towcester, Northamptonshire on October 23rd. Entries for nominees will be accepted until August 11.
Meanwhile, the organisation Women in the Pet Industry Network (WIPIN) based in Portland, Ore is now looking for qualified women to fill up their roster of nominees for The Pet Industry Women of the Year Awards. Participants are expected to excel and should have devoted their lives in the pet industry while being able to inspire other women as well as significant contributors to pet welfare. There will be five award categories but only one will be given the cream of the crop award as the Pet Industry Woman of the Year. Winners will be announced on August 15th at WIPIN’s conference, “All About Growth”.
In the recently concluded NatWest EMIF awards held in London this May 22, two women stood out against other nominees. Jane Masih, the head of franchising at Owen White Solicitors went home with the Outstanding Contribution Franchising title. The Woman Franchisor of the Year award on the other hand was bagged by the owner of the Wagging Tail Guildford franchise, Lisa Suswain.
With all of these award giving bodies recognizing the efforts of people engaged professionally or personally when it comes to pet care, what could this mean to both people and animals alike? For Jordan Walker, bird aviary design inspector at Coops and Cages, “Events such as these are considered movements that are intended for us to propel forward. As you can see, awards are good in such a way that these are encouraging better business practices, pet awareness and growth for those who are involved.”
