Predict-It Simplifies How Businesses Ask for Customer Reviews
Predict-it Launches Business Boosting Reviews Tab
San Francisco, CA -- (SBWire) -- 08/14/2014 --Predict-it, The Satisfaction Engine is announcing a new tool built to greatly enhance its position as the destination for people to find all the reviews of local businesses in a single place.
Predict-it has been aggregating reviews since 2012 with 150 million of them coming from links to just over 100 of the best-known rating and review sites, including many lesser-known niche sites. Now they are announcing a new tool that not only offers people the optimal place to find reviews for local business but at the same time is a prime place for businesses to direct their clients to write reviews.
Businesses often struggle with how to ask customers for online reviews:
- Asking for customer testimonials and placing them on their site is good, although the general public’s trust of those postings isn’t as strong as reviews on third party rating and review sites.
- Asking for reviews on a particular site such as Yelp, TripAdvisor or Google has the potential of rubbing a person the wrong way as many people who share their opinions on these sites are strongly invested in the belief that their preferred site provides the best representation of the people that they have the most in common with. For example, we know that there are people who not only trust, but also have emotional ties and prefer to use, sites like Angie’s List, Houzz, HealthGrades, Hotels.com., OpenTable and even the Better Business Bureau (BBB). These people may not just ignore any requests for reviews on other sites, they may consider the request impersonal and a sign that the business is out of touch with who they are as a customer.
- Businesses have deployed a wide range of reputation-building tactics; to get customers to rate and review them they have tried everything from rotating their review sites requests in an attempt to build on each one individually, to creating extensive data sheets with instructions on where and how to provide reviews on multiple sites.
Predict-it simplifies this process for the business while giving people a single source where they can write and read all the reviews for their local businesses. Predict-it’s new tool enables businesses to add an unlimited number of links to any rating and review page they want. The links they add will be shown in their business listings details page along with a newly added reviews tab.
Predict-it is currently considering plans to enable businesses to create a “Rate Us” card directly from the Predict-it website which would use the business’ logo and provide a link directly to the business reviews tab. In the meantime businesses are encouraged to place a “Rate Us” link on their websites pointing to their business listings reviews hosted on Predict-it. For customers seen in person, Predict-it suggests they print the links on their take-out bags, shopping bags, postcards and business cards as well as anything else they can give customers before walking out the door. Some advanced businesses who want to maintain consistent brand messaging will create a link using http://www.businessdomain.com/reviews with a redirect to the Predict-it tab for their printed materials.
