Crowdfunding Is Sought for the Urban Tweeters; Elegant Birds in the Form of Drinking Vessels Designed to Enhance Every Dining Experience
Created at Rayden, a small design studio, based out of Pune, India, these birds epitomize the wonder and charm of urban life.
Pune, Maharashtra -- (SBWire) -- 09/29/2014 --Created using ceramic and wood, glassware evolves into drinkware with this set that captures the ethereal beauty of the bird it was inspired from; the Indian Robin. The Indian Robin has a distinctive upturned tail which characterizes the wooden handle of the Urban Tweeters.
The Urban Tweeters is a set of five distinctive drinking vessels with the head of the family being the jug otherwise known as the Mama Bird, She is white and shines bright over her “children” the Young'uns which are available in white and black. The perfect set has one white Mama Bird and four Young'uns, one in black.
Prototypes have been made finalizing all the details standing in the way of mass production. Local potters have been recruited to help make it happen but in the long term this approach is not scalable when considering that expected increases in demands leads to longer lead times that potters and other artisans simply can’t keep up with.
To realize their vision for mass production to accommodate demand while not sacrificing the value of the Tweeters, high quality molds, materials as well as the final glazing process requires sufficient funding to deliver the superior product the founders have in mind. They want their birds to visit every home and turn to the pubic via crowdfunding to help them fly.
This crowdfunding campaign ends on October 17, 2014.
