China IT Industry (Communications, Computer, Electronics and Software) Report, 2010 - by ResearchInChina
Beijing, China -- (SBWire) -- 09/12/2010 -- In the first half of 2010, China’s electronic information industry maintained the rebound trend beginning in the second half of 2009, the production was developing fast, but the growth rate dropped slightly, and the growth rate of export had not fully recovered to the level before the financial crisis.
To be specific, most products still witnessed fast growth, while the growth rates of some products dropped. During Jan-Jun, 2010, the industry produced 369.879 million mobile phones, up 37.6% year-on-year; 52.991 million color TV sets, rising 16.4% year-on-year (of which, LCD TV at 40.7%); 108.804 million PCs, rising 40.2% year-on-year (of which, laptop at 41%); 67.795 million displays, up 8.4% year-on-year; 148.28 billion semiconductor discrete devices, rising 33.5% year-on-year; 30.25 billion integrated circuits, up 49.4% year-on-year; and 39.899 million digital cameras, increasingly 24% year-on-year.

During Jan-Jun, 2010, the accumulative telecom business volume totaled up to RMB1.48607 trillion, rising 21.4% year-on-year; and the accumulative operating income reached RMB434.55 billion, up 5.9% year-on-year.
In Jun. 2010, China increased the number of phone users by 8.438 million to a total of 1.110275 billion. Of which, the number of fixed-line phone users decreased 1.001 million, and the number of mobile phone users increased 9.439 million.
Also in the first half of 2010, the accumulative income of software industry in China reached RMB 604.8 billion, up 29.1% year on year. The income of service and design development grew rapidly, but with different performances in the east and west.
