Oklahoma City, OK -- (SBWire) -- 03/09/2015 --"Connecting to the Best of God: Find God in Everyday Life" collects 40 devotionals taken from Roy Lee's personal experiences. His stories reflect on common, everyday events and interactions, relating them to where God interacts with us on an everyday basis. The stories have already had an impact on peoples lives where he has shared them in churches in and around Oklahoma and Texas.

Roy Lee, himself, never really felt his stories were anything extraordinary, even after spending time speaking at churches. Then one day that all changed when he found that people wanted to record him.

In a recent interview he said, "I didn't think my stories were that big of a deal. But one Sunday morning I stood up to speak when this older gentleman said, 'Wait' and I was thinking, 'my God what have I done,' and then he put a tape recorder in front of me and said, 'I always want to record you'. I never took writing a book seriously until this guy put a tape recorder in front of me."

One story in particular titled, "Your Season" relates to a person having wonderful things go bad in life. Lee explains how when people feel that this is 'the time of their lives', they believe the good things and good feelings will last. "They get new jobs, buy new homes, get married, and rejoice, feeling everything will always be perfect. The job goes away, the marriage goes away, the house goes away, and they run into the sound of people pointing out how bad things are, only to discover that man has called it our season, not recognizing that only when God says it is our season, it stands forever."

Roy Lee announces the publication of his book "Connecting to the Best of God" from Xulon Press. He began his journey at the New Zion Baptist church, where he studied as a youth under the late Dr. N. H. Jones. While in college he was a member at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Chickasha, OK.
