Hollywood, CA -- (SBWire) -- 05/19/2015 --At first it was a just children's book set about dogs but then it took on a whole new dimension, becoming a national campaign for animal rights.

Michael-Blu DeFrancesco and Seth Daniel Lewis of Hollywood, Calif., wouldn't have it any other way. They are both dog-lovers and it just seemed natural for their books to carry important messages and also directly contribute to more humane treatment of dogs. Their two-book set is based on their own dogs, Luigi, Mia and Paolo.

"Seth and I have come to realize that we're extremely fortunate to have three terrific dogs that we really love," says DeFrancesco. "With these amazing gifts comes a great responsibility: to make life better for other dogs."

"This entire project came together so that their voices could be heard, to bring awareness, change and make laws to protect and, most importantly, save lives. It comes from a very deep place in our hearts."

The two fictional books are Hello Hollywood and Woofs of Wisdom. In Hello Hollywood, the three rock star dogs perform a sold-out show at the famed Whiskey a Go Go on the Sunset Strip and communicate important messages: just be yourself and, most of all, be kind to others. Woofs of Wisdom has a similar theme.

The book set comes with three plush dog toys. A portion of the proceeds from sales will go to Project Bobo, which supports no-kill animal shelters all over the country.

DeFrancesco and Lewis are hoping that animal lovers from coast to coast will help support this important project. Donations of any amount are welcome.
