The EE660 Air Velocity Transmitter is the ideal solution for special ventilation applications and laminar flow control. The instrument is designed for accurately measuring very low air velocity.

The EE660 has the E+E thin film sensor to operate on the hot film anemometer principle, which stands for high insensitivity to pollution and excellent accuracy down to 0.15 m/s (30 ft/min). The measured data from both the voltage and current output signals are available on the terminal, as well as on the optional LCD backlight display. The response time and the measurement range can be selected via a jumper. The mounting flange and the low angular dependence enable cost-effective, easy installation. Some of the other features of the EE660 include external mounting holes, smooth cover surface, bayonet screws and the E+E Air velocity sensor VTM.

The hot film anemometer (HFA) is made of a structured, thin, metallic resistive film that is deposited onto a substrate. A small current heats up the HFA to a certain temperature. An airflow at ambient temperature cools the HFA until an equilibrium is reached between the thermal heat loss and electrical Joule heat. The higher the air velocity and the larger the difference between the temperature of the air and the HFA, the higher the heat loss. The information from an additional temperature sensor enables the determination of the air velocity.
