NFS Takes the Multi-Generational Debate with Barclays and Pareto FM
NFS Technology Group has confirmed a seminar slot at the Facilities Show 2015, in partnership with Barclays Bank and Pareto FM, to discuss the multi-generational workplace and how this influences the roles and responsibility of the future FM.
Barbeque Downs, Gauteng -- (SBWire) -- 06/17/2015 --On Tuesday 16th June 2015 at 2.40pm in the Workplace Interior Theatres, NFS will showcase its research on managing the five generations in the workplace from millenials (born after 1995) through to maturists (pre-1945), including investigating differences in aspirations and attitudes, communication preferences and technology alongside decision-making protocol.
Luis de Souza, CEO of NFS will be chairing the debate, and joined by Katharine Photiou, Head of Workplace Savings at Barclays Wealth Investment who has completed extensive research on 'exploring the benefits engagement challenge' with regards to the priorities of today's workplace generations.
Andrew Hulbert, Managing Director of Pareto FM is also on the panel debate, ready to use his influence as an award winning Young Facilities Manager and leader of a national search for young talent.
Katharine Photiou from Barclays said: "Employers are faced with a situation in which they must adapt to the multigenerational workplace to survive. But knowing where to start, how to involve staff and understand their different aspirations, and grasping what can be achieved can all feel overwhelming. So what are the steps you need to take to engage at every level? The panel discussion will consider these aspects and explore in detail how to adapt to the changes in the workplace to enable multi-generations to work together in harmony."
The panel discussion is part of the Facilities Management Show's dedicated Academy, created to examine all the key features in facilities management alongside important topics and common challenges directly relating to interior space in commercial buildings.
Luis de Souza, CEO of NFS Technology Group and Chair of the Debate added: "For the first time in history, we are seeing up to five different generations in the workplace. These generations share the same managers, rub shoulders in the same spaces and collaborate on the same projects — but that is where the similarities end.
"This panel discussion is a vital opportunity to look at the challenges of a workforce embracing an age gap of up to 50 years, and the values, drivers and needs of these different generations. Throw in the rapid changing world of technology and mobile media, and it's no surprise that employers have to deal with many issues. The debate will seek to explore some of the main issues that employers and the FM community will need to address in order to achieve good productivity and collaboration in the workplace."
Talking about my generation: Exploring the benefits engagement challenge is taking place from 2.40 – 3.10pm on Tuesday 16th June in the Workplace Interiors Theatre at the Facilities Show 2015.
