Lewes, DE -- (SBWire) -- 06/18/2015 --On May 7th, 2015, the pesticide industry ranking list was published on the Second Pesticide Industry Economic Operation Analysis Meeting in Jinan City, Shandong Province. It was the fifth time China Crop Protection Industry Association (CCPIA) published the ranking list of the top 100 China pesticide enterprises and the fourth time published the ranking list of the top 30 pesticide formulation enterprises. What's more, the brand sales ranking list of pesticide industry also came out for the first time in the meeting.

The CCPIA attaches great importance to the Top 100 List since it was launched in 2011. The association puts a lot of effort on promoting the ranking, hoping make it into an annual highlight for China's pesticide industry. The ranking is expected to achieve two main positive effects. One is to facilitate the search for currently and potentially booming pesticide enterprises in China, encouraging their further development by building strong and well-received brands. The second is to provide an important market analysis tool, since it allows enterprises to compare their own positions with their rivals', and to identify revenue gaps from industry leaders.

In the past one year, there were some turning points in China's pesticide industry: the growth rate of sales revenue in the industry is slower compared with that of previous years, though the output growth rate kept more than 10%; the sales profit of the industry has decreased over the past six years, and deficits have greatly increased; the pesticide price index, especially for herbicides, dropped largely in H2 2014. Besides these, some other things keep on going: the M&A events occurred sequentially which affected much on pesticide companies' ranking; the adjustment of pesticide product structure was also carried on by many companies, which will decide much on their ranking changes; etc. All these, in addition with other factors, decided the ranking list together.

According to the list, Zhejiang Wynca Chemical Group Co., Ltd. (Zhejiang Wynca) and Shenzhen Noposion Agrochemicals Co., Ltd. (Noposion) continued ranking the first in the top 100 pesticide list and the top 30 formulation list respectively in 2015. The brands of Nongxingwang in Zhejiang Wynca, Saofei in Beijing Yanhua Yoloo Bio-technology Inc. and Limin in Limin Chemical Co., Ltd. were crowned in the three brand sales ranking list (herbicides, insecticides and fungicides) respectively.

Under the background of slower growth rate of industrial sales revenue in 2014, there are also some changes for the top pesticide enterprises. The total sales revenue of top 100 pesticide enterprises kept increasing, while the growth rate declined much compared with that of previous years. While the growth rate of top 30 pesticide formulation sales revenue was much higher than that of pesticide enterprises. This is a good sign for the development of China's pesticide formulation industry, the effects appearance of industrial product structure adjustment, and the role changing of pesticide enterprises from pesticide technical supplier to brand maker.

In terms of the geographic distribution of the top 100 pesticide enterprises by revenue in 2015, the pesticide industry is more concentrated in the central and western regions.

The business performances of the top 100 enterprises increased steadily in 2014, with growth rates slower than the average of the past five years.

There are several reasons for the substantial growth rates that many pesticide enterprises have recently achieved.

It is worth noting that higher positions of the three Top 100 Lists from 2011 to 2015, were occupied mainly by 14 companies, including Zhejiang Wynca, Zhejiang Jinfanda, Nanjing Redsun, etc.

Three Top 100 Lists and two Top 30 Formulation Lists together show a rather optimistic outlook, given that most enterprises have enjoyed remarkable revenue growth.

In 2014, although the sales revenue of the top 100 Chinese pesticide enterprises was still increasing, the growth rate declined significantly, from 23.60% in 2013 to 8.71% in 2014. The slowing growth rate may be a sign of a bottleneck in the Chinese pesticide industry.
