Larry Jobe Seeks Kickstarter Funding for the Making of 'The Hump,' a Documentary Honoring CBI Pilots During WWII
Larry Jobe wants to create a documentary titled ‘The Hump,’ a historical endeavor to honor the CBI pilots that served in China during the Second World War. The funding requirement for this project is $200,000.
Matawan, NJ -- (SBWire) -- 07/15/2015 --Larry Jobe represents The Flying Tiger Heritage Park, a premier museum and memorial park based in Guilin, China. They are dedicated to honoring and remembering the role of the Flying Tigers during WWII (the American AVG, 14th Air Force, and CBI). The people of China still remember the sacrifices made by these brave men and women for them during the days of World War Two.
The Flying Tigers Heritage Park is nearing its completion stage, and this process will reach its climax in the second week of October 2015 with the re-enactment of a "Hump" flight. This flight will start from India, and fly over the mighty Himalayan Mountains to reach The Flying Tigers Heritage Park. The specific date will be decided at a later stage based on weather and other factors.
Larry Jobe is inviting all to be a part of this enormous project by sponsoring a documentary that will be made on this flight. The documentary will be narrated by Joe Mantegna, Jr. Larry anticipates that this entire event will attract wide media attention both in America and China.
Highlighting the importance of this project, Larry says, "The re-enactment flight will honor the brave men and women from America who fought alongside the Chinese to defeat Japanese Imperialism. The documentary will educate and preserve for history the amazing story that is the CBI theater of WWII while reminding us what we can accomplish through cooperation and friendship."
Larry Jobe has recently started a Kickstarter campaign to raise necessary funds for the creation of the documentary titled 'The Hump.' All funds raised from the campaign will be spent on making the documentary.
This project will only be funded if at least $200,000 is pledged August 10, 2015.
