Caregiving App Startup Care Monster Hires Long-Term Care Expert to Manage Accounts
The CareMonster® caregiving app, currently in use by 35 care facilities in Ohio, Kentucky and Texas, aims to improve the quality of care families deliver to their frail, infirm or disabled loved one, either at home or in a long-term-care setting.
Dayton, OH -- (SBWire) -- 08/11/2015 --Caregiving application startup company Care Monster, Inc. has added Courtney Koverman to its staff as its new vice president of account management. She becomes the company's third full-time employee since its founding in 2013.
The company's CareMonster® caregiving app for Android and Apple iOS devices helps family caregivers coordinate their schedules, visits, and caregiving tasks among themselves to help reduce the stress and anxiety that is common to unpaid caregivers.
Although the app is designed as a tool for family members, Care Monster's B2B business model is built around a subscription-supported, co-branded version of the app that is offered by care companies such as nursing homes, hospitals, assisted living facilities and the like to residents' families. Koverman will be responsible for helping care facilities successfully launch and use their customized version of the CareMonster® app in their communities.
Koverman's years of experience working for companies like Capital Senior Living, the Ohio Masonic Home and BrookHaven Retirement Community "give Courtney a unique insight into the mind of our partner communities and the family experience related to long term care," said Michael Eidsaune, Care Monster's co-founder and CEO. "She understands how the CareMonster Caregiving App can support care facilities in their goals of improving patient satisfaction scores and outcomes, while enhancing the care experience for their residents and families."
"My goal will be to create seamless process for on-boarding care providers, and make sure they have all of the resources they need to successful use the CareMonster platform in their communities," said Koverman. "I'll also be recruiting a team of passionate and energetic account managers to help us deliver on our promise to help improve the way families experience care."
Koverman continued, "Families want their loved one to maintain their autonomy, but fear for their safety. This struggle continues even after they enter a community. Consistent communication and the ability to take an honest look back at moods, behaviors, care needs, an so forth are imperative to making educated and coordinated decisions. I believe the CareMonster App can bring balance and peace between the struggle to provide care and still provide freedom for their loved ones."
She added, "The CareMonster App also helps care facilities market their resources and create a compassionate, responsive environment with minimal resources in a day and age when profit margins are shrinking."
