Woodlands Strength and Conditioning Sends Seven Power Lifters to the United States Power Lifting Association National Championships

After qualifying for the national powerlifting championship seven of the Woodlands Strength and Conditioning Forged Barbell team competed successfully at the Las Vegas event.

The Woodlands, TX -- (SBWire) -- 08/13/2015 --Woodlands Strength and Conditioning recently announced that its Forged Barbell team sent seven power lifting competitors to the United States Power lifting Association national championships in Las Vegas on July 10-12. The three day event is by qualification only and hosts some of the best lifters in the country.

Representing Woodlands Strength's Forged Barbell team were Tommy Hastings, Jessica Belt, Jonathan Pritchard, Mike Wisdom, Kim Fuzzel and Sheena Pearson. Together they took home three first place medals, one second place and one third place as well as helping Team Texas place second overall. "It was a great experience for our clients and personal trainers to come together and compete against other lifters", said WSC owner Tommy Hastings.

On Friday, WSC members Jessica Belt, Kim Fuzzell and Sheena Pearson competed. Sheena Pearson took third place in the 165 Open Womens Raw division setting personal bests on all her lifts. Kim Fuzzell took second place in the 114 Master's Women 40-44 Raw Division setting four Texas state records in the process. Jessica Belt, current and former holder of numerous state and American records in multiple divisions, took first place in the 181 Open Women's Classic Raw Division setting four Texas state records.

On Saturday, WSC member Mike Wisdom competed in the 198 Masters Men 55-59 Raw Division. Wisdom, a current American record holder in the bench press, set a new American Record for his division in bench press with 341.71 pounds. He also took first place in his division.

On Sunday, Tommy Hastings and Jonathan Pritchard competed. Tommy Hastings took first place in the 242 Master's Men 40-44 Raw Division and fourth in the open division. Jonathan Pritchard, current American Record holder in squat, took first place in the 220 Mens Open Classic Raw Division.
