The fate has not been favorable to Inger's mother, who widowed in 1979 and had to raise her only child alone. Her daughter also widowed in 1999 and seven years later moved to Australia with her two sons because of her new marriage.
After suffering a stroke in 2007, her mother was able to visit her daughter's family in 2009 and after a lot of urging from their side, she finally agreed to live with them in 2012. After falling in 2014, she broke her left arm and hip. After the stroke, she still has right-hand side and speech residual problems. Additionally, she is gradually losing her sight in one eye, while the other one is blind. Because of her age and increasing medical needs, she needs her family to be around to ensure that she will have last peaceful days in a loving environment.
Inger and her mother have always supported and cared for each other, and she desperately wants to raise the money needed for an Australian permanent parent visa that costs $60,000. She wants to take care of her mother at home. The family was able to invest more than a half of the needed money but run out of options and asks for a charitable contribution.
