The Assam Government is all set to complete a legal process for doubling the present 430 square kilometers area of the Kaziranga National Park.

They are trying to settle this land acquisition process so that the animals, comprising the prized one-horned rhinos, are better protected. Though the Kaziranga National Park already has around 800-square- kilometer-area but it is not officially sanctioned.
“Steps are being taken to plant saplings in 20,000 hectares. A process was also on to raise an Assam Forest Protection Force” remarked a minister.
Kaziranga National Park has always been a title of a noteworthy success story of preservation of one horned India Rhinoceros and other wild lives in the North East India. The park has been the homeland of the Great Indian One Horned Rhinoceros, but today it is counted among best national parks that provide the safest shelter to wild lives like tiger as well.
