The 2015 Sunscreen Symposium is hosted by the Florida Chapter of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists. It is being held at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts in Lake Buena Vista, FL. The theme of the event is "The Next Horizon of Sun Care Innovation & Global Regulatory Requirements." The event will feature an educational presentation by Solar Light Company on Thursday, September 17, entitled "Aspects of in vitro material handling and new developments in in vivo and in vitro automation."

The rest of the event will feature educational courses, technical presentations, poster sessions and exhibits, and where the best and brightest in cosmetic chemists and solar radiation testing organizations mingle and share ideas, best practices and innovations.

The Society of Cosmetic Chemists is an organization dedicated to sharing current knowledge in sunscreen development as well as breakthroughs in SPF chemistry. Their FL chapter was founded back in 1984, and their mission is to educate professionals and distribute information to cosmetic scientists all throughout the state. The society consists of approximately 150 members and their bi-annual symposium has become quite well-known throughout the years.
