Environment enthusiast Darcy McMenamin and his team are the creators of Eco Thermal Filter, a system that reduces energy and GHG by capturing the heat from a cook line to preheat the domestic water. The team is looking to launch this eco-friendly product with funding assistance via Indiegogo.

The Eco Thermal Filter captures this wasted heat by acting as a replacement for standard grease filters. Structurally speaking, this system is a combination of a patented stainless steel grease filter with a 100% copper heat exchanger inside. Simply by diverting a portion of the ground water entering the restaurant through the Eco Thermal Filters, it is possible to preheat ground water up to a temperature of 125 degrees.

The team led by Darcy McMenamin has been working on this product for nearly eighteen months in redesigning and testing in bringing their perfected model to market. Now installed in over 100 locations, The Eco Thermal Filter System is field tested with proof it works exactly as designed.
