Copenhagen, Denmark -- (SBWire) -- 04/01/2016 --In the City of Copenhagen a small team of hard working data rebels has developed a revolutionising data extraction and intelligence tool, dexi.io. After three years of bootstrap development by the co-founder, and today the CTO at dexi.io, Henrik Hofmeister, the company launched in the summer of 2015 and finally received its first round of funding!

Complete Big Data Tool for Professionals

Recently dexi.io relaunched the platform and besides rebranding from its early stage name CloudScrape, dexi has also released a new product, Pipes, adding an intelligent data transformation tool to complement its advanced point and click web data extraction tool. More than 10.000 companies are now using the platform, executing more than 2 million robots!

Driving Innovation is the Key to Success

Dexi.io has a bit of an untraditional organisation. The sales department has been replaced with an innovation team and for a good reason. As Stefan Avivson, CEO of dexi.io explains: "Although Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is not a new concept, service providers have been using so called Robotic Processing for a decade now, but the amount of available data and the technology to process it has evolved tremendously over the past two years. There is basically no real limitation to the use of Big Data and there is no real effort in convincing people that RPA is the future. It's more a question of knowing how! Utilising the resources of our innovation team to clients and partners has without doubt been one of the key drivers to our success!"

Smart City, Hitachi & City Data Exchange

Due to the complex technology in use but despite being a very young company, dexi.io is already involved in some prestigious projects making the world a better place with the use of Big Data. One of these projects is the City Data Exchange being launched in April 2016.

The City Data Exchange is a big data exchange run by Hitachi Consulting and the project is part of the European Smart City project with the goal of using data for a smarter future. "The European Commission is investing no less than €200m in Smart Cities in the next two years and this is a great opportunity for dexi.io to be in the center of data driven innovation", explains head of the innovation team and Executive Officer at dexi.io Jacob Laurvigen. He continues: "No doubt this will help drive data innovation even further in the years to come!"
